Trash Rack is a mesh provided at the entry of the outlet from where water flows to the Power House or Pump House. It prevents any solids, logs of wood or any floating material from entering the Power House or Pump House. The size of trash rack provided at any Outlet is always larger that the size of Outlet Gate. Trash Racks are usually handled by means of a Lifting Beam.
